The facade of the Edison, Jerusalem's grandest movie house, which opened on Yeshayahu Street in 1932. Twelve hundred seats, the first air-conditioned hall in the city, a stage that held concerts and theatre between the films. It opened with a Mendelssohn oratorio and closed in 1995. They demolished the building but kept the front, so the facade on this shirt is still standing on the street, holding up an apartment block behind it. For old Jerusalemites, cinema romantics, and anyone who misses a movie palace with cold air and 1,200 seats. תיאטרון אדיסון, est. 1932. Printed on a soft, comfortable tee.
